So today is my birthday, but it’s also the birthday of Will Smith, both Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, and most importantly our cat Merlin. Merlin was a Christmas present my freshman year in high school, which makes him 12 years old. He’s a Burmese, so has very little hair and is always cold. He has a sweater, which he hates, so to keep warm he sits underneath the lampshade to absorb heat from the 100 watt bulb. Hopefully he will learn to love his birthday present: a heated bed with a soft fleece cover.
